Why is my camera offline?
Why Is My UBox 4G Camera Offline?
Quick answer: A HOSAFE UBox 4G camera usually goes offline because the SIM cellular data has run out, the battery is low, the cellular signal is weak, or the camera needs to be restarted after recharging data.
1. Check Whether the SIM Cellular Data Has Run Out
Your UBox 4G camera needs cellular data to stay online, load live view, send motion alerts, and connect to the app. If the SIM data is used up, the camera may show offline in the UBox app.
- If you are using the SIM card that came with the camera, open the UBox app and check the remaining data balance.
- If the data has been used up, subscribe to a 4G cellular data plan in the app.
- If you are using your own SIM card, contact your carrier to check the data balance and recharge the plan.

2. Restart the Camera After Recharging Data
If the camera does not come back online after you recharge the SIM data, manually restart the camera using the power switch. Wait about 1 minute for the camera to reconnect to the cellular network.
- Turn off the camera using the power switch.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Turn the camera back on.
- Wait about 1 minute for the camera to reconnect.
- Open the UBox app and check whether the camera is back online.
3. Check Whether the Battery Is Low
Low battery can also cause the UBox 4G camera to go offline. Open the UBox app and check the camera battery level. If the battery is low, remove the camera from its mounting location and charge it before reinstalling.
- Remove the camera from its mounting position.
- Turn off the camera power while charging.
- Charge the camera for about 3 hours with a 5V mobile phone charger.
- Turn the camera back on and check the app connection.
- Reconnect the camera to the solar panel after charging.
Still Offline?
If the camera is still offline after checking SIM data, restarting the camera, and charging the battery, contact HOSAFE support with your order number, camera model, app name, and a short video or screenshot of the issue.
