Why can't I add the WiFi camera to the app?
1. Please ensure you have installed the correct app: the EseeCloud app. Using an incorrect app will prevent the camera from being successfully added.
2. Check if your camera only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi. If it does, make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network when adding the camera. If your phone is connected to a 5 GHz network, the camera will fail to be added.
Models currently supporting dual-band WiFi (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz): HX-2PT1; HX-2PT1-5; HX-2PT1-2; ZC-IPC213; ZC-IPC216.
3. When adding the camera, place it close to the WiFi router. If the distance is too far, the camera cannot pair with the network and the setup will fail.
4. Make sure the camera is turned on or properly connected to power (plug-in cameras must stay plugged in to operate). Different camera models may behave differently after powering on; please refer to the user manual that came with your camera. For example, when the ZC-IPC213 camera is connected to power, you will see the spotlight turn on in white and then turn off. After about 30 seconds, the camera will rotate 180° twice and then emit a voice prompt “please configure the network.”
