How to Delete Videos from SD Card or Cloud Storage

Delete Videos from the SD Card

There are two common ways to delete recordings saved on the SD card. You can delete files manually on a computer, or you can format the SD card in the app to erase all recordings at once.

Option 1: Delete SD card videos on a computer

  1. Turn off the camera before removing the SD card.
  2. Take the SD card out of the camera.
  3. Insert the SD card into a card reader.
  4. Connect the card reader to your computer.
  5. Delete the video files one by one.

Option 2: Format the SD card in the app

If you want to erase all SD card recordings at once, format the SD card in the app. Formatting will remove all saved recordings from the SD card.

Delete Videos from Cloud Storage

For cloud storage videos, open the app, select the individual videos you want to remove, and delete them directly.

Note: SD card videos and cloud storage videos are stored in different places. Deleting cloud videos does not automatically delete SD card videos, and formatting the SD card does not delete videos already saved in cloud storage.

Before You Delete or Format

If you need to keep any important footage, download or copy it before deleting videos or formatting the SD card. Once recordings are deleted or the SD card is formatted, they may not be recoverable.
